2019 is the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Music Therapy Charity, the national organisation dedicated to supporting the highest standards of practice, research and training in music therapy. Special events are being organised to make this occasion, including a one-day conference to showcase funded projects.
The day is jointly organised by the Research Committee of the Music Therapy Charity and the new Centre for International Research in Arts and Play Therapies, University of Roehampton.
The conference will be taking place on Friday May 3rd 2019 at Whitelands College, the University of Roehampton, London.
Keynote speakers are:
Professor Leslie Bunt (University of the West of England)
Professor Jörg Fachner (Anglia Ruskin University)
Dr Philippa Derrington (Queen Margaret University)
It is anticipated that delegates will include researchers, practitioners, students and interested parties of the Music Therapy Charity. The day will also include short presentations and posters given by past holders of Music Therapy Charity grants.
