MA Bursaries - How to Apply

Student grants are available for students enrolled on MA in Music Therapy training courses. We encourage music therapy schools to make their students aware of these grants, and to nominate any they feel would benefit from some extra support.

Currently, we have up to £4,000 available each year for each of the training courses. In the past, courses have usually nominated students to each receive £1,000 to go towards their training although this can be allocated differently depending on individual requirements.

If schools wish to nominate students, they should send their names, student numbers and email addresses, to:

Professor Ian Cross, Chair, Research Committee, of the Music Therapy Charity by email to info@musictherapy.org.uk.

Any queries from students should be addressed to their course head.  We would like to remind students that recipients are requested to send a brief report at the end of the academic year to the charity detailing their progress and how the grant has assisted them, in a format that is suitable for publication on our website.

We hope that these grants can continue to be of some small support towards the financial challenges faced when training.
