As part of our international collaborations we are delighted to announce that Dr Ming Hung Hsu, a member of the MTC Research Committee, has this month taken up a new post as Professor of Music Therapy within the Centre for Research in Music and Health (CREMAH) and the Department of Music Education and Music Therapy at the Norwegian Academy of Music. His role spans teaching resarch and innovation, including the development of music therapy interventions, training programmes, and digital and AI-enabled approaches to support practice and care. He will build on collaborative research led by CREMAH and the Cambridge Institute for Music Therapy Research (CIMTR) at Anglia Ruskin University, including the HOMESIDE study and Dementia Choir Oslo, while strengthening cross-centre and international partnerships. Ming continues his links with Anglia Ruskin University as a Visiting Professor and remains a member of the Research Committee of the Music Therapy Charity, supporting research with clear pathways to real-world impact.
